Build your radiograph reading skills and orthopaedic knowledge to excel on audition rotations!
Year after year, orthopaedic surgery is one of the most competitive residencies across all fields of medicine. Not only do applicants need to have stellar board scores, letters of recommendation, volunteer work, coursework, and research, but it is imperative that they excel on their audition rotations by impressing the staff and residents.
A large part of gaining acceptance to a program is how you fit with the residents and staff, but another huge portion of the decision is based on your orthopedic knowledge. An objective way to test a student's knowledge is during fracture conferences by having you read radiographs of fractured limbs and then asking student-level orthopedic questions.
Usually, during these fracture conferences, other auditioning students, faculty, and residents are present so this can be a prime opportunity for you to shine and show that you are prepared.
This course was designed to simulate how these fracture conferences are run. Each orthopaedic program will be slightly different, but the radiographs and questions will be very similar as there are only so many fractures and student-level questions that can be asked.
Each area of the body and fracture type is represented in the curriculum (and radiographs will be continuously added). Each radiograph is paired with multiple follow-up questions from classification, anatomy, and treatment. Using voice-to-text, you will verbally dictate the radiographic read and answer questions as if in a live fracture conference.
We are very confident that with the completion of this program, you will have the knowledge and skills to hit the ground running for the audition season.

"Nail Fracture Conference is a godsend!
I went from not knowing how to read an X-ray to getting called out for having the best student read that an attending has ever heard. Not only does this program teach you how to read X-rays, it includes high-yield fracture classifications, pimp questions, and what you need to know going into auditions. 10/10 would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to shine on auditions and match into ortho."

"This course is incredible!
Not only does the course include high-yield fracture patterns, but it also gives you instant, real-time feedback on your x-ray reads. It helps solidify your knowledge by taking it a step further and asking pimp questions associated with the fractures as well as end of section quiz! I highly recommend this for any medical student interested in orthopedic surgery."
